Using exhibitor types improves organization, segmentation, and display control for your event’s exhibitors and sponsors. Whether you're distinguishing between standard exhibitors or premium sponsors, exhibitor types ensure your event system correctly classifies, filters, and presents exhibitors in both public-facing forms and internal admin portals. They can also influence pricing models, sponsorship visibility, and reporting accuracy — making it easier for your team to scale and personalize event experiences.
Access exhibitor types
To access and manage exhibitor types:
Go to Setup > Exhibitor > Exhibitor Types
You will be taken to the Exhibitor Types page, where you can:
Add a new exhibitor type
Edit an existing exhibitor type
Set the display order of exhibitor types
Delete an exhibitor type
Add an exhibitor type
Select Add type from the Actions dropdown menu
Complete the following fields:
Name (required): Enter the exhibitor type name (e.g., Sponsor, Exhibitor, Platinum Partner)
Visible to public: Check this box if the type should appear on public registration pages; leave unchecked to keep it internal-only
Click Save
Edit an exhibitor type
Click the Edit icon to the left of the exhibitor type you want to modify
On the Edit exhibitor type screen, update the fields as needed
Click Save to confirm your changes
Set exhibitor type display order
You can control how exhibitor types are listed in dropdown menus and forms by setting their display order:
Select Sort display order from the Actions dropdown menu
Hover over an exhibitor type name
Click and drag it into the desired position
Click Save
This is particularly useful when prioritizing visibility for premium sponsors or simplifying the exhibitor selection process for users.
Delete an exhibitor type
Important: If an exhibitor type is in use (e.g., tied to an existing exhibitor record), you may need to reassign those exhibitors to another type before deletion.
Click the Delete icon next to the exhibitor type you wish to remove
Confirm the deletion by clicking OK in the dialog box
Exhibitor types are a foundational element in managing exhibitor data, controlling visibility, and segmenting sponsorship levels across your event.
