What is the bulk update log report
The bulk update log report in Launchpad shows a summary of each bulk update operation. For each execution, you can see:
date run
admin user email
admin user full name
description of the update
number of rows selected
errors encountered (if any)
bulk update type
This provides a high‑level audit trail so you can review or troubleshoot changes made in bulk.
How do i see details of a bulk update
Open the bulk update log report.
Click the Drill‑down icon next to the entry you want to inspect.
The detail view shows:
Bulk update summary
total records selected
total successful records
total failed records
Error records
a list of failed records
reason for each failure
Update detail
the fields and values that were applied during the update
How do i rerun or edit a bulk update
From the detail view, click Re‑run this update on all records.
On the Record selection page you can change which records are targeted by clicking Change.
On the Field update summary page you can modify which fields and values will be applied — click Change as needed.
When ready, click Next to confirm.
Review the changes on the confirmation page, then click Confirm to apply.
This allows you to fix errors or apply the same update to additional records without creating a new bulk update from scratch.
Why the bulk update log matters
By capturing who did what and when during bulk edits, the log helps you:
Maintain accountability and auditability
Diagnose failures (see which records failed and why)
Safely re‑apply updates after corrections
Avoid repeated manual work by reusing previous bulk updates
The bulk update log report is a powerful tool in Launchpad to monitor, review, and manage large‑scale data changes. Whenever you perform a bulk update—whether to correct data, update statuses, or apply new settings—you have full visibility into its outcome. Use the drill-down and re‑run features to audit results, resolve errors, and ensure consistency across your registrations or records with minimal manual effort.
