Apply targeted pricing across sponsorships, items, and events
The Launchpad by Swapcard pricing system allows admins to define multiple prices for the same item based on registration type or user role. This is used in areas such as Sponsorship Packages, Purchasable Items, and Auxiliary Events, ensuring that the appropriate audience receives the correct pricing.
Organizing prices in the right order ensures registrants are charged the correct amount based on their selections.
How does Launchpad apply prices?
Prices are filtered and applied according to user criteria (e.g., Exhibitor Type). If multiple prices are available for the same item, the first matching price in the list is applied.
To ensure accuracy:
Organize prices from most specific to least specific
Place the default ("Any Value") price at the bottom
Example: pricing by exhibitor type for tabletop booth
This example shows different prices for the same sponsorship package based on the registrant's Exhibitor Type.
Exhibitor Type | Sponsorship Package | Price |
Exhibitor | Tier One Sponsorship | $500 |
Silver Sponsor | Tier One Sponsorship | $300 |
Gold Sponsor | Tier One Sponsorship | $0 |
Default | Tier One Sponsorship | $500 |
Explanation:
Gold Sponsors get the sponsorship at no cost
Silver Sponsors pay a discounted rate of $300
Exhibitors pay the full $500
If no Exhibitor Type is selected, the default price of $500 applies
Example: misordered prices result in incorrect charges
In this example, prices are not ordered from most specific to least specific.
Exhibitor Type | Price |
Default (Any Value) | $500 |
Exhibitor | $500 |
Silver Sponsor | $500 |
Gold Sponsor | $500 |
Since the default price appears first, all registrants are charged $500—regardless of their Exhibitor Type.
How do I organize prices correctly?
To ensure pricing is applied correctly:
Set the most specific price rules first (e.g., Gold Sponsor)
Add broader rules next (e.g., Silver Sponsor, Exhibitor)
Place the Default price last (acts as a catch-all)
Proper ordering ensures your registrants are charged fairly and in accordance with
