Setting Up your White-Labeled Domain

Use a custom domain for your public registration pages to maintain brand consistency and build attendee trust. This article covers the step-by-step process of transitioning from a standard URL to a personalized, white-labeled domain.

Why should I use a white-labeled domain?

A white-labeled domain replaces the standard Launchpad URL with your own branded web address. This feature is essential for organizations that want to provide a seamless brand experience from the moment an attendee clicks a registration link.

By using your own domain, you improve email deliverability, enhance SEO, and ensure that your audience feels secure entering their information on a site that clearly belongs to your brand.

How do I request a custom domain?

To begin the process, you will need to coordinate with both your internal IT team and the Launchpad engineering team.

  • Step 1: Choose the domain or subdomain you wish to use (e.g., https://www.google.com/search?q=events.yourcompany.com).

  • Step 2: Send your chosen domain name to your Launchpad Account Manager or Support contact.

  • Step 3: Wait for Launchpad engineering to generate specific DNS entries for your request.

How do I configure my DNS settings?

Once Launchpad provides the DNS entries, you must apply them to your domain provider's platform to link your URL to our servers.

  • Access your domain registrar (such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Cloudflare).

  • Navigate to the DNS Management section.

  • Add the CNAME or TXT records exactly as provided by Launchpad.

  • Once these are saved, notify your Launchpad contact that the entries have been added.

What happens after the DNS is configured?

After you add the records, the Launchpad engineering team will verify the connection. This "handshake" confirms that your domain is correctly pointing to our infrastructure.

  • Launchpad confirms the DNS entries are active.

  • The engineering team adds the new domain name to the MultEvent platform.

  • You will receive a notification once the domain is live and ready for use.

How do I update existing events?

It is important to note that white-labeling is not retroactive for events already live in the system. If an event was created before the white-labeled domain was ready, the system cannot simply "switch" the URL.

To use your new domain for these projects, you must copy the existing event. When you create the copy, the system will allow you to associate it with the newly available white-labeled domain on MultEvent.

Importance of Brand Alignment

Custom domains are a small technical step that makes a massive impact on your event's professional image. By removing third-party branding, you take full ownership of the user journey, ensuring a high-quality experience for every attendee and exhibitor.
