Introduction
User Templates allow you to send personalized emails in bulk to targeted groups, like Save-the-Date notices or event announcements. These templates are managed separately from system-triggered templates and give admins more flexibility for scheduled or ad-hoc communication.
What can I do on the User Templates page?
Manage bulk email templates
To access, go to Event Setup > Content > User Templates.
From the User Templates page, you can:
Add a Template Type
Add a User Template
Edit or Delete a User Template
Set display order for User Templates
Each template type controls whether its templates can be sent in bulk.How do I add a template type?
Create a category for user templates
In the Templates page, scroll to the desired category section.
Click the Add Icon in the category header.
Fill in:
Name: Label of the Template Type
Allow Bulk Send: Choose “Yes” to enable bulk sending
Click Save
How do I create a user template?
Build a custom email template
Choose a Template Type and scroll to that section.
Click the Add Icon.
In the Details section, fill out:
Template Name
Description (admin use)
From Email (defaults to Support Email if blank)
From Name (shows in inbox)
Subject
CC/BCC Email and Name (optional)
Theme
Send a copy as PDF attachment (optional)
Upload Attachment (optional)
In the Filters section, set conditions for who receives the email.
Under CSS & JavaScript, click the Add Icon to attach files.
In Attached PDF Templates, include any system templates to send with this email.
In the Template section:
Type or paste HTML/plain text
Use Template Fields to auto-fill data (e.g. {RegistrantName})
To add links, right-click text → Insert/edit link → enter URL and settings
⚠️ Remove non-standard characters before saving to avoid errors.
Click Save. Templates without content will not save.
How do I edit a user template?
Scroll to the template and click the Edit Icon.
Make updates as needed in the Edit User Template screen.
Click Save
How do I delete a user template?
Templates can be deleted, but previously sent emails will still appear in the recipient's profile.
Click the Delete Icon next to the User Template.
Confirm deletion in the popup window.
How to set the User Template display order
From the User-Templates List screen, you can sort the order of the User-Templates.
Using your mouse, hover the cursor over the User-Template name.
Click and drag the User-Templates into the desired order.
The order will save automatically.
