Manage Registration Types

Learn how to set up and manage date-based pricing tiers for event registrations.

Updated over 4 months ago

Registration Types define a specific time period for registration and the price associated with each time period. They enable early bird pricing, regular pricing, and late registration fees based on the registration date.

Common examples include Early Bird Registration, Regular Registration, and Late Registration.

To access the Registration Types page:

  • Go to Event Setup

  • Find the Registration menu, find the Registration Type menu

From the Registration Types page, the following can be done:

  • Add a Registration Type

  • Edit a Registration Type

  • Delete a Registration Type

Add a Registration Type

Create a date-based pricing period for your event registration.

  1. Select Add Registration Type from the Actions dropdown menu.

  2. Populate the following fields (fields marked with a red bullet point are required):

    • Name: Type in the label of the Registration Type (Example: Early Bird)

    • Start Date: Click the field to open a calendar and select the first day this pricing will apply

    • End Date: Click the field to open a calendar and select the last day this pricing will apply

  3. Click Save.

Edit a Registration Type

Make changes to an existing pricing period.

  1. Click the Edit Icon next to the Registration Type name.

  2. The Edit Registration Type screen will appear.

  3. Make changes as needed and click Save.

Delete a Registration Type

Remove a pricing period that is no longer in use.

Note: Registration Types can only be deleted if they are not in use. A type is considered in use when:

  • A registrant is assigned the type

  • It is associated with a Ticket Type

  • It appears in a filter set

  1. Click the Delete Icon next to the Registration Type name.

  2. A confirmation dialog box will appear. Click OK to confirm deletion.

Registration Types are essential for setting time-based pricing and organizing your event's registration flow. By defining clear start and end dates, you can encourage early sign-ups and manage pricing efficiently. Use this feature to improve your event strategy and provide more flexible pricing options to your attendees.
