Updated over 2 months ago

Organizing admission levels through Ticket Types allows you to define exactly how attendees access your event. This feature enables you to set diverse price points, manage guest permissions, and tailor the registration experience for different groups like VIPs or students. By mastering these settings, you can ensure a professional and automated checkout process that scales with your event's needs.

How do I access Ticket Types?

The Ticket Types management area is located within your event configuration settings. This is where you handle all admittance levels and their associated financial rules.

  • Click on Event Setup.

  • Navigate to the Registration menu.

  • Once here, click Ticket Types.

From this central dashboard, you can build new ticket options, adjust current pricing, or change the order in which tickets are displayed to the public.

How do I create a new Ticket Type?

Creating a Ticket Type allows you to define the name of the pass and determine who is allowed to see it during the registration process.

  1. Click the Actions dropdown menu.

  2. Once here, click Add Ticket Type.

  3. Enter the Name (e.g., Full Conference or One Day Pass).

  4. Check the Visible to public box if you want this option to appear on your website.

  5. In the Value Added Tax section, select any applicable tax labels.

  6. In the Prices section:

    1. Click the Add Icon and populate the following:

      • Account: Select the financial account for deposit (only visible if multiple accounts exist)

      • Registration Type: Select the associated Registration Type

      • Is Guest: Choose "Yes" for Guest ticket, "No" for regular

      • Guest Type: Select guest category (if applicable)

      • Price: Enter the price (numbers only)

  7. Click Save.

How do I edit or delete a Ticket Type?

You can update ticket details at any time or remove options that are no longer relevant to your event strategy.

Editing a ticket

  • Click the Edit Icon next to the Ticket Type name.

  • Modify the fields in the Edit Ticket Type screen.

  • Click Save.

Deleting a ticket

  • Click the Delete Icon next to the Ticket Type name.

Note: You can only delete a Ticket Type if it is not currently assigned to any registrants or included in a package. If it is already in use, you should uncheck Visible to public instead.

How do I change the display order?

The order in which tickets appear can influence what attendees choose first. You can prioritize your primary ticket options at the top of the list for better visibility.

  1. Click the Actions dropdown menu.

  2. Once here, click Set Display Order.

  3. Click and drag the ticket types into your preferred sequence.

  4. Click Save.

Ticket Types are essential for structuring how attendees access your event and how prices are applied. Use them to support flexible pricing models and segmentation by classification, guest status, and registration timeframes. Proper configuration ensures a seamless registration experience for attendees.
