Registrant elements are customizable fields used to collect specific data during registration. These fields include standard inputs (e.g., name, contact details), selections for packages and ticket types, and more advanced options like workshop selections and auxiliary events. Elements can also be filtered or auto-assigned to streamline the experience based on conditions.


What are the available registrant element types?

Each element type displays a specific field or behavior in the registration form. Filters can be used to show or hide fields based on user selections.

Input fields

  • Textbox: Free-text input; supports filters

  • Text area: Large free-text input; supports filters

  • Dropdown: Single selection from a list; supports filters

  • Checkbox: Multiple selections; supports filters

  • Radio button: Single selection (yes/no or choice); supports filters

  • Text: Read-only field that displays responses

  • Password: Input for password entry

  • Locale: Dropdown to select default language and locale settings

  • X handle: Input for Twitter display name

Ticket and registration type selectors

  • Pick ticket type: Dropdown to allow registrants to select a ticket type

  • Assign ticket type: Auto-assigns a ticket type

  • Set package: Auto-assigns a package

  • Registration type list: Dropdown for selecting registration type; supports filters

Package selection elements

  • Pick primary package: Dropdown or radio buttons for selecting a package

  • Pick single ancillary package: Dropdown or radio buttons for one ancillary package

  • Pick multiple ancillary packages: Dropdown or radio buttons for selecting more than one ancillary package

Auxiliary event options

  • Auxiliary event select: Dropdown for grouped events

  • Ungrouped auxiliary event: Checkbox or radio buttons for ungrouped events

  • Assigned auxiliary event: Auto-assigns a grouped auxiliary event

  • Assigned ungrouped event: Auto-assigns an ungrouped auxiliary event

Purchasable items and workshops

  • Purchasable items: Shows item descriptions with options (radio/checkbox) to select quantities (up to 10)

  • Workshop: Displays or assigns workshops. Options include:

    • Allow multiple selections for unscheduled workshop sessions

    • Allow options to select auto-assigned workshop sessions

    • Filters can assign workshops based on registrant criteria

Note: If a registrant selects overlapping workshops, a warning will appear and they will be added to the Overlapping Workshops Report.

Additional registration controls

  • Session proposal public review form: Enables a star-rating system for registrants to rate proposals

  • Opt-out flag: Checkbox to opt out of non-event communications

  • Passport fields:

    • Passport status and number

    • Passport expiration

    • Passport issuing country

    • Passport citizenship

  • Review buttons: Navigation buttons for progressing through registration pages
