Understand the difference between Test and Live modes
By default, Launchpad sites launch in Test mode so Admin Users can build and preview their public registration site and Event Admin Portal before going live. This lets you collect mock data, test features, and review site behavior in a safe environment.
When ready, switching to Live mode enables full functionality, including payment processing.
What happens in Test mode?
A red banner appears across the top of all pages indicating the site is not live
You can create pages and collect test data, including mock credit card entries
Credit card numbers will not be processed
Pages function as they would on a live site, allowing for previewing and testing
β οΈ Important: Any credit card numbers entered while in Test mode will not be processed, even after switching to Live.
How to clear test data before going Live
Setting a test site to live does not automatically delete test data. To set a test site to live without any data, first clear the test data for each module of Launchpad.
If you want a clean start, follow these steps to clear all test data before going live.
Go to: Setup > General > Clear Test Data
Click the Clear Test Data link
On the Clear Test Data page, under Data, check the boxes next to the data you want to remove
To confirm, type the number shown in the confirmation prompt
Click Save
β Only test data is removed. Real content or configurations will remain intact.
